ABOUT ME

Hello reader!

 

My name is Jessica Karvelis. I am a marketing student and health food enthusiast with a passion for baking the healthy way. In my adolescent years, I began experiencing life-debilitating health issues, such as; food intolerances, IBS, depression and dysmenorrhea. As a result, I was compelled to change my lifestyle, predominantly my diet. Therefore, I started to experiment with traditional recipes, substituting inflammatory, unhealthy foods with raw and wholesome ingredients. So, I decided to create this blog to share my recipes and health journey.

 

I remembered how hopeless I felt when I struggled with my own health issues. I had very few people to turn to and share my difficulties. So, by creating this small community I wish to inspire and give hope to others. Despite what limitations people may face from their health problems, there are still ways to enjoy the simple pleasures in life – such as through tasty food.

 

All my recipes are free from gluten, dairy, refined sugar, soy and yeast. I do have some recipes that are fructose-friendly and appeal to those on a strict paleo, vegan or nut-free diet. I do avoid all GMO ingredients and try to reduce consumption of starchy foods, such as rice and potato flour.
